# Arrival fallacy
Informal fallacy about happiness
- Thinking you'll be happy when you do/get x instead of trying to be happy currently and understanding happiness is largely about our inner perspective and having satisfaction from the journey, happiness as a direction, where we have satisfaction from things we can get regularly - family, friends, community, meaning, meaningful work, life and exertion connected to meaningful things, struggle and challenges only make the journey and your life narrative more interesting instead of only something that delays when you'll get to the magic destination.
